Make Gradual Lifestyle Changes

I’ve noticed that some people simply can’t get started on a healthy weight loss programme for themselves because they believe they won’t have a life. They baulk at the idea of going to a gym and they hate the idea of nibbling on lettuce and carrots to lose weight. As it is, anyone who has been a bit of a couch potato should never just plunge willy nilly into a  vigorous exercise regime.

staying fit and eating right

Begin with gentle exercise, nothing too strenuous. Walk every single day. What can be so difficult about that? It doesn’t have to be 8 miles – for starters it can be just to the end of your driveway and back. Find some activity you love to do and do it as often as possible. Why not look out for- and join a beginner water-fitness class. If its at a health club, you can even sit in the sauna and benefit with some detoxification. There is no need to stop eating either. Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables and slowly start omitting the foods connected with inflammation such as sugar and bread.  The word dieting sums up all kinds of unpleasantness, but start gradually with making lifestyle changes  – you’ll see it will start slowing reaping benefits and you’ll be much happier without having to make drastic changes.

We start with juice cleanse – PART 1

OK, first things first

We have to start with our own bodies. Our body should be clean, non-toxic and alkaline to be healthy. One sure shot way of cleansing your body and getting rid of toxins is juice cleanse.

Juice cleanse also known as “juice fasting” is a form of detox diet. The participant will drink juice drinks made of natural fruits and vegetables at regular intervals throughout the day. You will need to consume a juice every 2 hours. This serves two purposes. Firstly to keep hunger at bay and secondly the body uses more energy to breakdown the foods helping to lose weight.

The schedule

The process will begin with drinking 8 glasses of water a day and cutting out any processed foods such as sugary drinks, processed meats, fast foods, and alcohol. After the initial 3 days the participant will only consume water and 6 fruit juices every 2 hours throughout the day for a period of time. Once the juice days are complete then the participant will follow a plan for the remaining 3 days. The participant will gradually add solid foods; the first day will be made up off fruit and veg. The second day will be made up of fruit, veg, nuts and the third day will allow you to introduce grains.

How often to cleanse?

You can cleanse as often as you feel the need. You can cleanse every month if you wish starting with 3 days preparation followed by three days just juice then 3 days easing back into solid food. You can prolong the juicing days to 5 or more days. However you will find it easier to juice if you are doing it at a time in your life when you are happy and settled. It is not recommended to juice in times of emotional stress or if you are pregnant or nursing as your bodies’ demand of food may be higher than usual and may encourage the unwanted side effects.
